The fourth, annual Garden Day, takes place on Sunday 20 October 2019.
This spring, our SALI Gauteng administrator, Corne Nothnagel (second from left) joined up with administrators from the South African Nursery Association - Elana Boshoff, Wendy Appel and Gerdie Olivier to prepare for Garden Day 2019.
The Garden Day movement is purely altruistic and not-for-profit … here are a few ways to dig in this Garden Day:
· Host your own Garden Day celebration on Sunday 20 October. The Garden Day website has a toolkit for anyone to download - it has invites, posters and even suggested social media posts to share.
· Make and wear flower crowns on the day and share pictures with us on social media with #GardenDaySA.
· Social media posts – Help us spread the word about @gardendaysa by posting on social media (Instagram/Twitter/Facebook) in the weeks leading up to the day as well as telling others about Garden Day.
The Garden Day movement is focused on getting as many people and communities across South Africa involved in celebrating their gardens and we'd love you to help us spread the word.
